We believe some flavours never go out of style. Instead of offering dozens of options all year long, we've carefully chosen 14 Timeless Classics that people know and love. Keeping our core menu focused allows us to perfect every recipe while making room for seasonal favourites and our limited-edition Flash Batches. It means there's always something familiar to come back to and something new to discover.

A Flash Batch is one of XO's new traditions. Every so often, we release a single, limited batch of a flavour inspired by a special occasion, a new community partnership or simply an old fan favourite we are craving. Once it's gone, it's gone! The best way to hear about upcoming Flash Batches is to follow us on Instagram and Facebook or sign up for our newsletter.

While our Timeless Classics are available all year long, we love celebrating the flavours that make each season special. From fresh berries in the summer to cozy pumpkin in the fall, our Seasonal Collection gives us a chance to showcase ingredients and memories that belong to a particular time of year.

We do offer sorbets and vegan flavours.

Every waffle is baked to order so it's warm, crisp and fluffy when it reaches your hands... and mouth! We are truly a one-of-a-kind shop in southeast Calgary if you crave a great waffle.

We make our batter from scratch with flour, egg, butter, buttermilk, baking soda and baking powder, that’s it! Our recipe also includes a little secret step — whipping the egg whites separately before gently folding them into the batter. That’s what creates the light, fluffy texture. It takes a little longer, but we think it's worth it.

We are a prime destination for milkshakes in southeast Calgary! Choose any flavour among our ice cream menu, we will blend it with milk and then you can decide whether it deserves toppings like whipped cream and sprinkles.

Our waffle sundae is perfect for those days where you can’t decide between ice cream and waffle. It’s made with a scoop of ice cream (any flavour on the menu) and a few strips of fresh waffle, then you can decide on toppings!

Yes! Choose any flavours from our menu and we'll make your cake to order. We simply ask for five days' notice. Contact admin@xoicecream.com to place your order.

We do :) Our Cookies & Cream cake is always stocked in our take-home freezer. No pre-order required.

They are all 9” cakes that serve 8 to 12 people, depending on your group’s appetite!

Yes! Biking to XO is a fun family activity. There are bike racks nearby, making XO a perfect stop after a ride around Auburn Bay.

An ice cream outing is one of life's simplest traditions. Whether you're cooling off after the splash park or finishing a family walk around the lake, XO is a favourite stop for families across southeast Calgary. Kids love watching fresh waffle cones being made and climbing up the dipping cabinet to see their favourite flavours.

We are Melanie and Darren, southeast Calgary residents! We have two children and were driven by bringing quality desserts to the suburbs. But not just dessert. We wanted to build a place where kids would celebrate the last day of school, grandparents would spoil their grandkids, friends would meet after soccer practice and families would create memories they’d remember for years to come.

We opened XO in March 2018. Where does time go?!

At XO, we believe the best desserts aren't just about flavour — they're about the memories that come with them. We're a family-owned “mom and pop” ice cream shop in Auburn Bay where every scoop is handcrafted on-site, our waffles are baked to order and our waffle cones are made throughout the day. Our menu is inspired by the timeless flavours so many of us grew up loving. Whether you're stopping in for ice cream, a warm waffle or both together, we hope every visit feels a little nostalgic and a lot memorable.

We're proud to call Auburn Bay home and welcome families from across southeast Calgary. Many of our guests visit from Mahogany, Seton, Cranston, Copperfield, New Brighton, McKenzie Towne, McKenzie Lake and beyond. Whether you're stopping by after a day at the lake, a soccer game or just because you're craving great ice cream and waffles, we're always happy to see you.
